November 3, 2008 – We
at Harstad Research offer our sincerest congratulations to our client Senator
Michael Bennet and his entire team for his against-the-odds win yesterday.
Despite a serious recession and a sweeping partisan tide against us nationally
and in Colorado, Bennet came from behind to win in a stark choice that could
have elevated another Tea Partier to the U.S. Senate.
Special kudos go to campaign manager Craig Hughes and Bennet chief of staff Guy
Cecil for their guidance over the past year.
Bennet came from behind in both the August primary and the November
general election.
More than anything else, however, this victory really belongs to the tens of
thousands of Colorado volunteers and supporters who made up the backbone of our
GOTV organization. That Democratic
ground game -- aided by the DSCC -- truly spelled the difference in this close
election.

our congratulations to the Senator, his dedicated family, and the full campaign
team.
