Andrew combines an extensive technical knowledge of research methods, persuasion and media effects with experience as a copywriter and journalist to provide creative, incisive, and actionable recommendations on strategic communications. He has over 15 years of experience in politics, public relations, and social marketing. Andrew taught communications research at the University of Maryland, has published articles in Mother Jones, George, and other magazines, and has published papers on communications in scientific research papers in JAMA and other peer-review journals. He has moderated dozens of focus groups for U.S. Senate campaigns, large non-profits, advocacy groups, government agencies, and Fortune 500 corporations. He is also one of the leading experts on the Democratic side on segmentation and microtargeting.
