Andrew Maxfield has been seeking out tough and diverse communication
challenges for 15 years -- conducting research for Democratic political campaigns for the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and the Obama Presidential
campaign, to issue advocacy research, to providing analysis for health communications efforts in developing nations and evaluating public health
efforts here in the U.S. With his diverse background and extensive technical expertise in research methods, Andrew is known for providing
new perspectives on communication challenges and effective strategic recommendations.
Most recently, Andrew provided research and strategy in the upset win by Democrat Walt Minnick over Republican incumbent Congressman Bill Sali
in Idaho's conservative 1st CD -- and he provided advanced statistical analysis for the Obama campaign.
Andrew received his Ph.D. in Communications Research from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Andrew has moderated dozens of focus groups for a
variety of clients, including the Obama Presidential campaign, the 2006 McCaskill for U.S. Senate campaign, environmental groups, education groups,
other issue advocacy organizations, government agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control, and Fortune 500 corporations.
Andrew has also developed advanced statistical analyses for microtargeting, ad testing, and
campaign modeling. He taught communications research at the University of Maryland and has published research in the Journal of the American Medical
Association and other peer-review journals. Andrew is also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
